This rattle is made from red dyed deer rawhide, sewn and finished with black sinew and brass beads on a willow stick. A silk flower has been added at the base of the rattle. The handle is covered with black deer suede with red flash with more brass beads. Black rabbit fur is above the handle and below the rattle. Corn is the traditional filling for these rattles. I also add sage for cleansing. As well as being a great sounding, fully functional rattle, this is an individual work of art. It measures approximately 16" in length.
