Custom Rawhide Rattle / Drum Beater Combo
Ever wanted to play a rattle and your drum at the same time?
Our drum beater has a cotton core, (the soft beater is wool), covered by deer suede & wrapped with waxed thread for a sound that works well with most drums (hard beaters are better with thick hides and the Siberian style shamanic drum , the soft works better for thin hides and the European style shamanic drum). The small, medium or large rattle on the other end is made of deer or horse and filled with the traditional corn & sage.
The handle is made of willow hand cut by us on local rivers (we always gift the willow trees for their sacrifice and cut where they tell us to cut).
The sinew for the rattle and beater will be color coordinated around your beater head color. If you want something specific, please let us know.
