This is a kit to make your own beautiful & powerful community drum. These drums are also called ceremonial drums, council drums, grandfather or grandmother drums, thunder drums or powwow drums. This listing is for drums sized 24" or 26", made from Red Stag Deer (24" only), or Horse, for shipping outside the US.
Our drums are designed for those who really care about the sound & the energy of their drum. Like our "Harmonic Shamanic" drums, these drums have had a special treatment of "honing & toning" developed by a Master Drummaker and an experienced Jazz/Rock percussionist, which brings into balance the animal spirit, the tree spirit, the masculine and the feminine. We invite you to interact with the broader wilderness of sound.
You will receive a 24" or 26" by 12" Maple hoop (drilled and sanded with holes for four handles & sound), two pre-cut and punched heads, hand cut lacing for the drum & lacing for four handles, two beater kits, full illustrated instructions and plans for a stand that you can build yourself with locally purchased wood.
