This deluxe variation of my Shaman's Mask is inspired by Norse & Heathen culture, with a shorter center and long sides (about 14"), decorated with glass and metallic beads. The crown is higher in the front and coordinating rabbit fur is hand sewn with decorative beads to the suede of the mask.The mask is made from soft deer leather with hand cut fringe and long straps for tying behind the head (so it fits anyone). This is my own pattern, and it was designed for Seidr, Volva & Vitki work, but of course can be used for any type of Shamanic journeying, ritual or ceremony. It is a beautiful mask for Pagan or Heathen weddings or handfasting. It looks really excellent with a horned headdress.
While you can see well enough to move around, the mask helps remove the distractions of the mundane world, so is also perfect for meditation, healing work, and ritually embodying otherworldly beings without distractions.
The beaded decorations will vary depending on my muse. You may send in special beads for me to use on your mask. The center hole must be 4mm - 6mm. You may also choose to add abalone buttons or cowry shells to the temples of the mask.
