This drum is specifically a Women's Blood Drum, made on the full moon. It is suitable for use in a red tent, moon lodge, for a womanhood rite of passage ritual or to connect with Women's Mysteries. It has been painted in red ochre, which has represented the blood of birth and death for thousands of years. This sweet deer drum carries the energy of love and circulation. It has a medium vibration with beautiful harmonics and a ton of resonance. It is made on a cedar hoop that has been hand steam bent by us in our shop.

These drums have had a special treatment of "honing & toning" developed by a Master Drummaker and an experienced Jazz/Rock percussionist, which brings into balance the animal spirit, the tree spirit, the masculine and the feminine. We invite you to interact with the broader wilderness of sound. Our drums are made with a five sided handle, for balance with the four elements with the central point of spirit (and, anyway, did you ever notice you have five fingers?)
